Ninh Binh

Natures Extravaganza and Cultural Colours

Rich in natural landscapes and a myriad of historical destinations, the city of Ninh Binh and its surrounding regions is a nature lover’s dream destination. Capital of its namesake province, it is one of the oldest regions of Vietnam and is regarded as the sister destination of Halong Bay. Acting primarily as a staging point, it acts as the gateway to untouched attractions such as Tam Coc, Van Long Nature Reserve and neighbouring Trang An. While having no airport of its own, the railway station hosts several trains every day arriving at the city making rail the best way to reach it.
Ninh Binh is a hotspot of ecological diversity, and various shades of green dominate the landscape. Flanked by mountains, caves and incredibly picturesque limestone sceneries, Ninh Binh is nothing short of stunning. Another wondrous natural attraction within the province is the Cuc Phuong National Park, one of the province’s largest protected areas. Hiking through the trails in the park is a popular activity among tourists.

The local cuisine is also quite delectable and offers a great insight into the culture of this part of Vietnam. For a comfortable and quick sightseeing experience, motorcycles on rent are by far the best option for visitors to this region. From housing, the biggest pagoda in the country, to ancient temples dedicated to the Dinh dynasty, the testament of Vietnam’s heritage stands here in Ninh Binh for all to witness.
